PRIVACY POLICY

Upholstery Design Solutions is bound by the National Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) which sets out how private sector organisations should collect, use, keep secure and disclose personal information. The principles give individuals the right to know what information an organisation holds about them and the right to correct that information if it is wrong. A copy of the National Privacy Principles is available to be view or obtained from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (www.privacy.gov.au).

Personal information collected

The kind of personal information which the business may hold about a customer is:

*        names, addresses, phone numbers, fax numbers and e-mail addresses

*        other personal information which has been obtained with the customer’s consent

Generally sensitive information will not be collected however if it is, it must be with the customer’s consent.

Purpose of collecting personal information

The main purpose for personal information being collected about customers is to contact them in relation to the products or services the business provides them.

Upholstery Design Solutions may also use the information to inform the customer about products or services provided by Upholstery Design Solutions which it feels may be of interest to them. The customer may inform our business if they do not wish to receive this type of information.

The customer’s rights

Under the National Privacy Principles the customer has a right to have access to their personal information held by Upholstery Design Solutions and to correct or update the information if necessary.

If the customer has any concerns or queries about Upholstery Design Solutions privacy policy, or if they would like further information about the way in which we handle personal information, they should contact the Managing Director.
